Your Body

Your body is an amazing gift. Your bundle of tissues, muscles, nerves and organs are constantly sending you status reports on their wellbeing. The key to this information is that you have to listen.

Regaining your body’s intuition

Your body is an amazing gift. Your bundle of tissues, muscles, nerves and organs are constantly sending you status reports on their wellbeing. The key to this information is that you have to listen.

But you might be thinking, how can I listen to this information when I’m constantly dealing with distracting health issues? Especially when headaches, joint pain, fatigue and digestive symptoms are ruling your day and limiting your life experience? These are the messages, not the distractions.

When we rely on fast food, prepackaged meals, or continue to eat foods we might have sensitivities to, our bodies are so overwhelmed by the stress this causes, and that normal function can be altered or severely impaired.

In order to tap into the bodily wellness inherent to all humans, we have to learn how to override our cultural conditioning and tune into our body’s messages. When all wellness messaging comes from pharmaceutical ads and weight loss promotions, is it really surprising that we have no idea how our bodies are supposed to function, or that we confuse “common” symptoms for “normal.” It might be “common” for you to poop once a week, but it is definitely not “normal.” If we make the effort to investigate our wellness issues, we can become easily blinded by an overload of information. This information overload paves the way for confusion and skepticism, leaving us to default to the consensus-conformity and industry standards of disease care and wellness strategy.

The best way to deal with these wellness issues is often to get back to the basics. Your mindful attention + your body = the state of your well being. Your body is sending you thousands of messages everyday about everything from hunger and thirst signals, to feedback about chemical exposures and food intolerances. Are you listening? Our current “healthcare” model encourages us to defer to others knowledge about our bodies rather than our own intuition.

You have the power to regain your natural intuition with nutritional therapy.
